In This Review
Supergirl is the second film in James Gunn’s new DC Universe after Superman (2025), directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya; Cruella).
Story (No Spoilers)
Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock), Superman’s cousin, is a jaded hero who spends most of her time away from Earth. When her dog Krypto is harmed, she sets off across the galaxy to find the enemy responsible, reluctantly teaming up with a young woman who has her own score to settle.
Reception and Box Office
Reviews were split (53% on Rotten Tomatoes), and it grossed about $126 million worldwide — a disappointment for DC. David Corenswet appears as Superman and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
Supergirl MP4 Movie Download & Where to Watch
Supergirl has been available to buy or rent digitally since 28 July 2026 and streams on HBO Max in supported countries from 10 September 2026. In India, check JioHotstar and the digital stores for availability. Avoid piracy sites offering a free MP4 download.
Final Verdict
Rating: 5.6/10. Worth a watch for DC fans following the new universe; others can skip.
