Bhojpuri stars have long crossed over into politics. The 2025 Bihar Assembly election and the months after it brought big moments for several of them.

Khesari Lal Yadav (RJD)

Declared the RJD candidate from Chapra in October 2025, Khesari lost the Assembly election to BJP’s Chhoti Kumari. In January 2026, he hinted he might step away from politics.

Pawan Singh (BJP)

After contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Karakat as an independent and losing, Pawan Singh rejoined the BJP on 1 October 2025. In June 2026, he was nominated to the Bihar Legislative Council and took office as an MLC.

On Screen Together

Despite politics, the stars still share the stage — Pawan Singh, Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirahua” appeared together on The Great Indian Kapil Show in 2026.
