Pawan Singh, the “Powerstar” of Bhojpuri cinema and music, has had one of his busiest years in 2026 — on screen, on stage and in politics.

Politics: From BJP Return to MLC

Pawan Singh rejoined the BJP on 1 October 2025 in the presence of Amit Shah and J. P. Nadda. In June 2026, the party nominated him for the Bihar Legislative Council, and he took office in June 2026. Earlier, he had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Karakat as an independent and lost.

Movies and Songs

• Dacoit: A Love Story (2026) — his song “Touch Buddy” (“Chicchubuddi”) in Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s bilingual Telugu–Hindi film was released in March 2026.
• Powerstar and Sooryavansham (2025) — his latest Bhojpuri films.
• Sirf Aapke — announced as his Bollywood debut opposite Shivya Pathania (not yet released).
• His Stree 2 song “Aayi Nai” earned a Filmfare nomination and won Song of the Year at TOIFA 2025.

Awards and TV

He won Best Playback Singer (Male) at the 2026 Zee Bhojpuri Awards and appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show in 2026 with Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirahua”. He is also set to appear on the reality show Bhojpuri Bawaal.

Where to Watch Bhojpuri Movies Legally

New Bhojpuri films now often premiere directly on YouTube channels of producers and music labels, or on TV, as well as in cinemas in Bihar and Jharkhand. Always use these official sources — “Bhojpuri MP4 movies download” sites are illegal and often full of malware.
